I'm a Ph.D. student at University of Maryland, College Park where I'm supported by the NSF GRFP. I work with Prof. Rob Patro at the Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. We are working on tools to better RNA-Seq analysis, and algorithms for fast reference-based indexes. We are fans of Rust.
Prior to that, I worked with Prof. Max Leiserson* to develop algorithms that automatically map biological phenomena across model organisms.
I grew up in the beautiful Hong Kong, and got my B.S in computer science and math at Tufts University. Some people know me better for climbing rocks.
